The Fyg Beta is open — but in cohorts
Fyg — a natural-language assistant for tracking your life — is now in closed Beta.
We’re onboarding testers in small cohorts of around fifty people at a time. New cohorts open every few weeks. This post explains why it’s invite-only, what you get if you’re in, and what we ask for in return.
Why cohorts, why not just open the doors
We onboard in small batches on purpose. The product works — really works — but it works best when every new tester gets focused attention for the first week or two: questions answered, edge cases caught, rough corners filed down before the next batch shows up.
A 5,000-person open Beta would be a disservice to everyone in it. A 50-person cohort, run carefully, lets us talk to every tester who wants to talk, fix things fast, and ship improvements that the next cohort will land on.
The natural side effect is that slots are limited and demand is high. If you want in, sooner is better.
What Beta testers actually get
- A working product, not a screenshot. Fyg is live, hosted, and feature-complete for everyday tracking — meals, workouts, tasks, goals, habits, mood, time, finances. You can use it as your daily driver from day one.
- A direct line to the team. When something breaks or feels wrong, you talk to the people who build Fyg, not a support queue. Most bugs get fixed within a day or two.
- Real influence on the roadmap. Cohort feedback drives what ships next. The next-most-requested feature in each cohort tends to land before the cohort after it.
- Grandfathered pricing forever. Beta is free, and when paid plans show up, Beta testers keep early pricing for as long as they stay on.
What we ask from you
Nothing painful. We ask that you:
- Use it. Not “log in once to look around.” Actually use it for at least a few weeks.
- Tell us what’s off. A single Slack-style message when something annoys you is enough. We’ll dig in.
- Don’t share login or invite links. Each tester is admitted personally; cohort sizes matter.
That’s it. No surveys, no NDAs, no required interviews. The product earns or loses your time on its own merits.
How to get in
Drop your email on the home page or via any “Request Beta access” link. Tell us a sentence about what you’d want to track first — it helps us sequence onboarding so people get useful answers in their first session.
Cohorts open roughly every couple of weeks. If you don’t hear back immediately, that means the current cohort is full; you’re in line for the next one.
If you’re interested but on the fence, the features page and how-it-works pages will give you a good sense of what Fyg actually does.
